Gilded Wings Yearning for Freedom

Nov 9, 2024

By Bristi Parvin

A feathered beauty, trapped in gold bars

With her bound feet, open wide heart

She dreams of touching the eternal firmament

Where the clouds dance with the birds in a waltz

The sun's fiery kiss graces her gilded cage,

Yet her soul remains untouched by its warm embrace.

Her wings flutter frantically, yearning for the sky

Her gaze, like a restless wave

Her spirit, like a phoenix

But,

She is a captive of fate

In a deep longing to liberate,

Within her lies a secret, a tale untold

A symphony of silence, waiting to unfold

A voice that whispers in her mind

Echoes of her dreams that left behind
