It's the days where you can shop
without being on your feet,
better items, better marketing scemes.
Treading fields of more than
wants and needs
Business men capitalize with ease
advertising flawlessly
"new i-phone out!
buy now, fit in society!"
making use of the brand psychology
Self-worth projected on mere
likes and comments.
Material wealth's all thats in
their heads,
only way of expostion is show
of thighs and other sexual content.
Long term fruition out of the way;
Seeking the next 5 seconds of fame,
quick pleasure attained in
short measures.
Superficial folks debate who's
fake or realer.
The Ill-informed taking over
comment sections.
Bad advices a few tik-tok clicks away.
Fashion sense attained from a favorite celeb
been a thing before, I acknowledge that
As known the world's open to a click of a button
Bad influnces on every nook and corner
the majority of youths relationship, hindered.
Much face value given on
superficial influencers.
How could we ever predict?
Interconnectivity leads to less connections
and spontaneity addiction?
or info' at your doorstep leads to misdirection?
Human complexities contained
in a left or right swipe
only to fall apart after the
end of the night.
Instant gratification addicted generation,
chasing back to back highs,
is this the future of our Nation?
Now we live at a time
where I'm less likely to die of war,
than suicide
Our phones, more than essenstial;
A hard lesson we learnt the past two years
generally, I tread the grass that's evergreen,
hide and share pain in-between.
I'm so much more than a walking profile,
when you see me around, don't forget to say hi
we can catch-up, chit chat about life.
So this is a call for help,
for the listener who feels the same,
lets make well of our advantages
More awareness at instutions,
we have all the right tools
to make broader changes!
