From the Heart of an Artist

I am an artist and I swear by my art

I see semblance and meaning where you can’t

Coz you see through eyes while I see by my heart

I am an artist and I swear by my art

Every day I embark on a journey in my cart

And wander to the lands led by my heart

I am an artist and I swear by my art

I live in art and do not care what would be the impact

I am but a slave to the commands of my heart

I am an artist and I swear by my art

I speak art through a song, a dance, or an act

I devote myself to art with every bit of my heart

I am an artist and I swear by my art

I am today who I am, solely made by my art

In every breath and beat of my heart

I am an artist and I swear by my art

Art and I are bound till death does us apart

Without my art I’m a body without a soul and a heart
