From Desks to Forever

Once strangers in a classroom’s gaze,

Now bound by a thousand cherished days.

From the first nervous steps through the door,

To a last embrace we’ll remember evermore.

The front row held the eager few,

Answering questions, their ambitions in view.

While the backbenchers whispered and laughed,

Turning moments of mischief into a heartfelt craft.

The toppers, with stars in their stride,

The dreamers, with worlds tucked inside.

The average ones, unnoticed yet wise,

Each carried a spark, a unique sunrise.

Teachers who scolded, yet always cared,

Life lessons woven with wisdom they shared.

Their stern voices, their warm smiles, too,

A guiding light in all we’d pursue.

The walls once felt like a cage we despised,

But now they shine with memories prized.

The classrooms echo with laughter and tears,

Stories that span our formative years.

Friendships bloomed, as roots ran deep,

A family we found, a bond we’d keep.

From pulling legs to pulling close,

From playful fights to heartfelt prose.

The last day dawns, a bittersweet air,

With promises made, hearts laid bare.

We’ll step beyond, our paths diverge,

Yet in our hearts, these moments surge.

The final bell rings, we gather near,

One last hug, a single tear.

No jail, no school, but a second home,

A place where our truest selves have grown.

So here we stand, hand in hand,

Carrying pieces of this sacred land.

From desks to dreams, from now to forever,

We’ll hold these memories, always together.
