Friendship

As bittersweet as a cinnamon roll,

as sturdy as an electric pole,

What is friendship indeed?

it’s a friend who aids you in need.

Helps you combat your fears,

and stops you from shedding any tears,

Gives you a shoulder to rest,

and accompanies you to every emotional fest.

They have got a treasure of sarcastic comments,

to prevent the relation from getting any dents,

Their hug is a comfort space,

and as a team every competition we can ace.

Being as fragile as glass,

it is a one-sided thing at last,

You have got to keep it tight from both ends,

or you will shatter when it actually ends.

If you want to make it last forever,

you have got to endeavour or it will be never.

Without efforts, there will once again be a wonder of,

‘What friendship is indeed?’
