Fragments of Uss

By Deeksha Agrawal

In this world's crowded heartbeat, one truth we silently own

Everyone yearns for a friend – a soul where love is forever sown

Friends are whispers of God’s grace incarnate – blessings cloaked in laughter, tears unknown

Like tender shadows they walk beside us, in joy and darkest night’s thrown

Do you recall school days’ simple gold? Swapping tiffins with hungry delight

We bunk classes on the same day – no other bond felt like that wild flight

In those unscripted moments we found pieces of ourselves pure, alight

Together we danced in sun’s splash – shadows merged into one heartfelt light

Like rivers carrying secret depths unseen, friendships flow carrying us through life’s uneven

Comfort in turmoil, warmth in winters’ keen – they keep fragments of us that we leave unspoken

A gift unwrapped in laughter’s careless act – ties binding souls across life’s shifting, unseen.
