Fractured Reflections

I wander, lost in chaos deep,

A stranger to myself, in secrets I keep.

No one sees the battles I wage,

Fighting demons on a silent stage.

I fear the void will pull me in,

As I struggle to breathe, beneath shadows thin.

I search for pieces left behind,

A trace of the self I can’t seem to find.

Some nights, I grasp at fragments tight,

While others fade in quiet blight.

I walk through rooms, a mask in place,

But fractures echo in my face.

I wear a smile, to match their cheer,

Yet in my chest, my screams are clear.

How long can I shield this soul’s disguise,

Before this weight becomes my demise?

And yet, in darkness, I glimpse a spark,

A whispered hope that lights the dark.

Perhaps this fracture will make me whole

A broken self with strength untold.
