Fractional Rotation Of My Twinkle Star

By Parineeta Habib

My heart loosens as I see you ignite my abyss with your light.

Evermore, I see you hang up on your sky, ever sore we spin circles around

every night.

With every fraction I see you burn.

My soul churns for your cosmic yearn.

My thoughts hurl like meteoroids, ceaselessly crumbling in your boundless

swirls;

does it hurt to light up my world?

Sparring in this endless game of verbal tag, how do I ever unriddle your

relentless sass.

Just a fraction of silver light and a slow flight;

If came a little closer are you just as beautiful or a rock of lies.

I drown my eyes why some things are only beautiful from afar while they

are burning alive.

Your like any other rugged drifter in the sky,

yet you seemingly pull my heart strings with your fractional little twinkle cry.

Oh, my fractional little twinkle star, my heart cries as you stay further in the

sky;

because even with a supernova sight, you are my hindsight of hope and

light.
