Four Seasons

A whispered promise in the winter's chill,

When frosted breath adorns the window sill.

The world asleep beneath a blanket deep,

While ancient secrets in the silence sleep.

Then slowly, surely, comes the gentle thaw,

A nascent green defying nature's law.

The snowdrops pierce, a brave and tender sight,

And days grow longer, filled with hopeful light.

With hesitant touch, the shy spring awakes,

As sleepy earth its verdant beauty makes.

The robin sings a vibrant, joyful tune,

Beneath the soft caress of sun and moon.

New leaves unfurl, a delicate cascade,

In whispered breezes through the sunlit glade.

The world reborn, a canvas fresh and bright,

Awash in promise, bathed in morning light.

Then summer blazes, with a golden gleam,

A vibrant canvas, like a waking dream.

The air alive with hum of busy bees,

And rustling whispers through the leafy trees.

Long, languid days, where time seems to expand,

With sun-kissed moments, scattered on the sand.

The bounty ripens, in a fruitful spree,

A symphony of life, wild and free.

A crimson blush across the fading scene,

When autumn whispers, vibrant and serene.

The leaves descend, in fiery, graceful flight,

A final dance before the coming night.

The air grows crisp, a nostalgic, keen delight,

And harvest moon casts shadows, soft and white.

A quiet beauty, as the year descends,

Preparing for the cycle that transcends.
