Forever Yet Gone

By Aarohi Shah

Don’t blink,

Take it all in.

It may go,

Any minute,

Any second.

This moment,

Too perfect.

This moment,

Raw smiles,

Sparkling eyes.

The light breeze,

Kissing my cheeks,

And the sand,

Tickling my feet.

Distorted laughter,

Beside the waves.

Hilarious cries,

Under the sky.

The perfect alignment,

Of my stars.

All may go,

Once the clouds take over.

Life,

Where a full stop is determined,

Before the sentence starts.

It aches,

Cause It ends,

We heal,

Cause it happened.

It’s better that way,

Cause,

Something’s truly valuable,

Only and Only,

When its missed the most.

And our hearts ache,

Yearn,

Perish,

But,

Never forget.

Every feeling is felt again,

And,

Every breath relived.

It’s true essence?

Happens once,

Stays for a lifetime.

Our lives may end.

But,

The memory? Never

Moments,

Fleeting

Yet Forever
