A word so fragile

Holding loose ends together


Forever

A word so persistent

Reminding you of unsaid promises


Forever

A word so empty

Rarely having gravity



Forever

A word so unattainable

Yet ever so inspiring


Forever happens when forever isn’t promised


When promised, it often is failed to be kept


Forever is a dream

A happy one when you work for it

A drifter when you get sloppy


Forever is a myth

A story people create to make themselves live the fairytale

To think it will all be well in the end,

To embrace the end if not escape it.
