Coffee!

Showed up in a white suit to pursue me

Chocolate complexion with a creamy heart

Intoxicating me with its aromatic cologne

To leave the cave of blankets and hold it close

How could I say no to something so tempting

To the ruler of the entire epicurean world

Just a kiss sends my demons to heaven

And bring them back as innocent angels

Catalyst to balance my chemical reactions

Touching the deep crevices of my soul

Fuelling my sleepy sloth consciousness

Hijacking my brain to pivot back on road

There is no parallel to this guilty pleasure

I so often lust for its warm composure

Sometimes the simple pursuit of life

Comes in a Cup of cream coated

Coffee...
