For My Child

My Child,

I have nothing but apologies,

My thoughts run rampant in my mind,

And fills it with nothing but worries.

My Child,

I am sorry for my expression,

With no prying ears,

I have you for this confession.

My Child,

A heart is fragile and flippant,

I can’t bear my emotions,

But, at times, I’m happy it’s consistent.

My Child,

What have I become?

My fears would run me dry,

If I would only succumb.

My Child,

I apologise for this world,

I had wished if you arrived,

It would better in return.

My Child,

I wish to hold your hand,

Say that I love you,

And be there till the end.

My Child,

If everything was better,

If everything was safe,

If everything was slower.

Then, My Child,

I would wish that you exist,

Loving me with everything,

As your heart would persist.
