"For Him"

Updated: Jul 17

By Maziah Shaaz

All that was and all I remember,

peach or pink, a blurred vision;

the tal| shadow found its way

looming afar, the wait was over

All I remember is life walking,

smiling; that throbbing vein

on forehead, etched like a map line

a way to my treasure trove.

All 1 remember is the glasses

on table, piercing pools of tranquility

shoving chills down my spine,

a call, a break, a loop and a catch

All I remember is the smell of

silent smoke, the ringlets

lingering in the air and seeping

beneath my existence, and

all I remember is my destiny

falling face first, weak in the knees

melting on the embers of love

burning forever the walled city of ice.
