For a single penny,
He roams the street erratically,
Wandering and begging for a piece of life,
Golden nectar to escape his strife,
To eat a morsel of food,
He works harder than anybody could,
Does anybody stop? With care or pity?
Does anybody see his hidden misery?
Does his begging not make a difference?
Are tears not pleads hidden under silence?
But still, he tries to make a change,
Through all those burdens- sad and strange,
Maybe one day, those pennies will change to millions,
His sweat turned to a smile of billions,
His prayers might be heard one day,
His cloudy life changed to bright sun rays,
But his dream soon backs out to reality,
He still needs to beg for a single penny,
Maybe one day, life will be better,
But today is not that day.
