Food-o-Mania

I wanna go back in time

and talk to my younger self

About taking better care of my health

and not eat everything off the shelf

Dishes that lured me into one night stands

were just too cheesy

And the long term relationship with fried food

was definitely unhealthy

I fell back on rebounds with caffeinated sodas

after every breakup

But it turned out to be even more detrimental

and it was too late before I woke up

When I was young, I didn't realize

how taxing it's gonna get

Junks were the most tempting ones

but they left me sick and full of regret

They even tricked me in disguise of

healthy organic relationships filled with spices

They pulled me like a moth to a flame

and I got cajoled by their fake promises

I got enchanted and believed I couldn't survive

without being with one of their kind

Even after several breaks, I kept getting caught

In yet another whirlwind

As I aged, I realized that I lost all my sane relationships

while craving to be a hippie

Now there is no turning back, I'll have to settle

with Vanilla without being picky

I can't afford to have any more

cheesy flings or spicy detours

Downhill journey will get difficult

if I don't commit to my health that I am truly yours

Phew, now that I am done giving advice

to my younger version

Let me go back to my sizzling brownie

that's lying in the oven

(And I'll put some Vanilla on top) 😉
