“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter, and those who matter don’t mind.” – Bernard M. Maruch
We all try to be someone else, influenced by their lifestyle or by their personality or by peer pressure but, losing yourself in the process of depicting yourself as someone is a waste of who you are. Only you can play the better you. Everyone’s born with their own flaws, flaws that are unique to oneself, flaws that can be moulded into one’s advantage, why throw that away never realising that it is skill exclusive to you and putting a mask and following the mob, trying to be someone you are not.
You might find them to be your weakness, but everything is relative, everything depends on perception, you might feel guilty about them but others might find it as an added advantage. Your perception about things decides how unique you are. Your perception of life influences your personality and character, eventually your lifestyle.
“Imperfection is beauty, madness is genius and it’s better to be absolutely ridiculous than absolutely boring.” – Marilyn Monroe
I know it’s hard to be yourself, against all others and trying to make your way through a bunch of jokers, but once you know what’s waiting for you on the other side, you won’t regret your choice of life.
“The most difficult battle you will ever fight is trying to be unique in a world that tries every marshal force to keep you the same.”
Be unique in a way that someone tries to be you. Be unique in a way that someone is inspired by you. Be unique in a way that the mob follows you.
Embrace your flaws and walk through the mob following your own instincts. You have one chance at life, and only you can decide to live it either by copying one and later regretting it or by living it the way you can, standing out of the mob, by proudly accepting your flaws, setting an example of how extraordinary it is to be the way you are.
Follow your instincts, they somehow know what you want.
Either regret for choosing to be someone you are not or be you.
