Find your Love

Once there lived four friends named Vijay, Alex, Rafiq, and Ram who shared a common room in their college hostel. Though they all come from different family backgrounds they were so affectionate with each other and stood united all the time. Time passes… They all completed their graduation with flying colours and became financially independent and well settled. Amid this, they all decided to get married and started to search for their better half.

A few months later, Vijay met a girl to whom he had lost his soul by her beauty and finally ended up marrying her. At the same time, Alex decided to marry a girl of his parent’s choice as he was not able to find a girl on his own. However, the other two friends were not able to find the right girl. Amid this, there was huge pressure on the other two friends from their respective families and relatives to get married soon as possible. When on the one side, some were pitied about their growing age, there was a huge mockery on the other side by the people around them.

In this case the third friend, Rafiq decided to marry one of his relatives considering her as destined to him. However, Ram was quite firm and waiting for the right girl to get married despite all the pressure and mockery he underwent. Amid this, other friends though they initially had a good married life, problems started creeping into their life as time passed. Finally, the day came for Ram when he found a suitable girl according to his expectations and married and lived a very contented life with her.

The above-quoted story applies to our life as well. There are people like Vijay who choose their career path by just looking at their fabrications. It may give us good economic status but doesn’t guarantee happiness. Similarly, there are people like Alex who choose their career paths based on their parents’ wishes. It may satisfy our parents but completely disorients our life. There are other categories of people like Rafiq who go by chance rather than choice. It may initially give happiness, but it vanishes like a passing cloud as time passes.

There are only a handful of people like Ram who are bold enough to stand firm to get the right moment. Though it takes time, it is worth it. Choosing a career is the same as choosing your life partner where you cannot make a U-turn. ‘Waiting or longing for the right moment may create pain but stepping back or choosing other options proliferates the pain’.

We’ll all win one day but expecting it to happen immediately is folly. I hence conclude by wishing that you find your love (career path) at the earliest and lead a happy life.
