Find a Way or Fade Away

The world whirls in its wicked waltz,

find a way or fade away,

those who stall are swallowed whole,

slipping silent into shadow’s sway.

I stand still, feeling the weight,

of winds that whisper, of waves that wait.

I must weave through, or wither unseen,

a fleeting figure in a forgotten scene.

The world is a river, pulling me under.

and I must either swim

or disappear beneath its surface.

Time twists, and tides will take,

find a way or fade away,

for those who drift, who do not dare,

are lost like smoke in thinning air.
