Final Act of Love

As my final act of love

I still have the place you live as my saved address

I'm your emergency contact

I talk about us in the present tense

As my final act of love

I talk to you about hope

Love and always welcoming change

As my final act of love

I let go of your promises and free you of weight of the words you were never able to tame

As my final act of love

I take the backseat

Delete all the messages I sent you in a feat

I become a npc and let you take the wheel

As my final act of love

I fill the void you were always craving

But I also cut myself form you

I reply to your text but never say how I actually do

As my final act of love

I never bid a farewell

But I'm long gone

And all you are seeing is a convincing ghost in a veil forgone
