Fight And Get Into Your Stride

Partially asleep with hunger in their bellies

and oblivious about their fates,

they dream of a world away from all worries

where humanity isn’t driven by any baits.

The arriviste want to get richer

and the powerful more assertive.

But their atrocities are only withered

because of currency in their pockets.

Dripping sweat day and night

the ‘poor’ yearn for a shack and food

and earn to see a trace of light

when we sit in our AC rooms.

When we complain of petty things,

about not having a watch or a pair of reflectors, just think of those with no support or means, still striving to make their lives better.

At dusk when the world goes to sleep

they engage themselves in longing in vain.

They long to be rescued from this labyrinth,

and long for the ‘rich’ to empathize their pain.

Warriors are those who plant optimism

and feed their children and wives,

for success is not measured by the wealth we earn, but the struggles we combat in life.
