Feminism: Vital Or Futile

Ever since there has been human life on this planet, there have been such countless cases made that tells us that females are somebody who are extremely fragile, and are viewed as sub-par than men. While certain individuals agree with this assertion, the majority of us will disagree. This could have been the situation in older times as the ladies didn't have a lot of opportunities and needed to agree to anything that the male in their family said. Despite the fact that certain individuals still convey similar mindset, the circumstances are different. Presently ladies are offered with additional chances and the main thing they have learned is to battle for themselves. Since women have at long last chosen to request the correct thing for themselves, certain individuals don't appear to be persuaded with the thought. The idea of feminism was brought in to bring a change in the lives of the women who struggle everyday with certain things. But the question that still arises everyday is

Is it that necessary?

No human is obscure to the issues a woman has to face in her day to day existence. Its almost as if people having started getting used to it so they do nothing about it. The amount of problems they face can’t be compiled but here are some of the issues that need to be addressed as soon as possible:

1. CATCALLING-

Catcalling is an issue faced by almost every woman across the globe. While women feel unsafe and uncomfortable while being catcalled, some men think it’s a way of appreciating them. Catcalling is nothing but a form of harassment where sexual comments, slurs are passed. While this is clearly something which shouldn’t be done, people still can’t seem to stop doing it.

1. DOMESTIC VIOLENCE-

Abusive behaviour at home alludes to the viciousness and misuse which occurs in a homegrown setting like living together or marriage. It is critical to recollect that abusive behaviour at home isn't simply physical yet any sort of conduct that attempts to oversee the person in question. The most common cause for this is economic dependency on men. But nothing can justify that this is wrong.

1. HER CLOTHES OR YOUR THINKING?

Ever since we our school times, we have been taught to cover up. In schools, we are told to have a certain length for the skirt, and not look “too good”. After school, women are objectified even at their work places, colleges just because they’re wearing something they’re comfortable in. Our whole life, we have been told to compromise or to adjust but the question that still remains unanswered is: why is it always the women who have to adjust? Why can’t men simply control themselves?

1. SEXUAL HARASSMENT-

Sexual harassment alludes to any type of unwanted sexual way of behaving which is hostile, embarrassing and threatening. Throughout the long term, inappropriate behaviour has gotten some margin to be perceived as a main problem. People say it happens because women dress “inappropriately” but how will they justify when a kid or an old woman gets assaulted? This is a serious issue which is finally being addressed but we still have a long way to go.

These are sadly by all accounts not the only issues ladies face. They need to go through considerably more that they need to manage. So indeed, women's liberation is fundamental. We really want it to dispose of these things that we face. The light at the end of the tunnel is small and flickering, but it’s a start. We’ve come a long way, but the fight is far from over.
