Felt

I wonder;

if air were visible,

how would the blind breathe, when the wind's soft fingers already stroke their skin unseen?

If light had a body,

what would it mean

for the blind,

when warmth already

wraps them in golden silence?

If love could be touched,

how would broken hands ever hold it,

when it already drips

like sweet honey

into the soul?

If fragrance could be seen, how would the blind ever know of the red roses

and the blue dandelions

dancing with invisible music?

If time could be heard,

how would the deaf

spend the ticking wealth,

when it already

etches memories into the soul?

Never heard,

never seen,

but felt

deep in the marrow of the soul.

For they serve

the rich and the poor,

the broken and the blind,

and the deaf;

all alike.

Just as God,

unheard, unseen,

and unfathomable,

yet always

Felt.
