Fearful Shadows

By Harshada Reddy Annareddy

Shadows corner me from every side,

I can’t go anymore inside,

I am draped against the wall,

The shadow looks very tall,

Because of a toy,

I trip and fall,

And that’s not all,

While I go and get my sword,

Praying to dear lord,

From the living room someone called,

And then turned on the lights,

That’s when I realized it was just a fantasy of the night!
