False Embrace

The eyes open, was a chore;

And from time to time a downpour.

But just a second before the alarm,

Was a false sense of calm.

It was a synonym of death;

Peaceful, alone, into an unknown depth,

But mimicked birth,

Unaware of life’s girth.

Why did the dark feel more like light?

The depth more like height,

It’s embrace like in my mother’s womb.

The fetal position, I slept in was my tomb.
