Fall Too Easy
By Sabyasachi Nautiyal
Shouts of the fallen, how melodious they are,
They echo across the lands,
Wounded screams of despairing maidens,
Pulled down by scarred hands,
Why fear the fall, falling is easy!
All it takes is a shove,
Sometimes hateful, sometimes loathsome,
And sometimes disguised as love,
Falling is easy, easier than the climb,
Why even fight the fall?
The all consuming abyss will spare no one,
Ignoring all remorseful calls,
People, I tell you, they fall too easy,
The world of men is black,
Some, they slip, some are shoved,
Few have the mettle to climb back,
But among the fallen, is a breed of men,
Over whom the darkness reigns,
They are the ones who dive right in,
For all they know is pain,
Their hearts are mountains of ash and glass,
With broken promises at the summit,
Don't be afraid, falling is easy,
Now, you shall plummet
