Fall of Firmament
By Bismay Rath
O tempered skies, I implore thee-
To not cease thy tears and bleed out thy misery,
With blood not red, but dews of apathy,
For 'tis time to avenge the insolence suffered by thee.
You house the harbinger of dawn,
Let the moon be blest with light,
You shade the world from pain
When Solus humors strife.
Reverend of the sagacious stars,
Testament to their unstifled shine,
The fumes that blacken your visage,
These trunks of metal incline.
Your gravity is now trifled with,
Which was once worshipped,
You throne Uranus and his winged hubris,
Icarus' waxen promises you cleaved.
What do these puny mortals comprehend
Of your truth over time,
They scrounged the eye of the one-mooned cyclops,
Yet, what plight dare 'scape your sight?
Icarus has been birthed once more
So have the fools trotted in tow
They will surely yearn to soar
To caress your eternal symphony.
Thus, once more, I implore thee-
Hold thy wrath, swindle the sorrows of humanity
Undo the debts of their trickery
Hosted in the annals of your welkin history.
