I'm not bold enough to make commitments-they say.

Did life make a commitment to you when you were born?

A pledge to always keep you giggling and,

never once letting your eyes feel rain.

A vow to offer you a lifetime filled with roses and,

never once provoking you to pass a trial by fire.

A guarantee that cyclones will forever stay far away and,

never once will mist find a way to obscure your stars.

Dare I say, we all know how well the so-called

oath ceremonies of popular faces last.

I want to be bold enough to make commitments-but trust me,

even my own breath never once made a commitment to me.

But I still place my faith in it and-inhale.

For I know it will try its all to-exhale.
