Face value and Place value are like the same side of a coin. We have learned in our school days to place the Face value and then the value of Place.
In today’s world, everything is just upside down. All is fair – either in love or in War. Face value is most valuable and place value is too.
It was not accidentally I have been a part of such a Page 3 party. I too was invited. To my simplicity. I thought I too would be welcome as others, but nope. It was a Face/Place value situation. No one for anyone then why invite the simple middle class? No, it was the mistake of the middle class who did not understand the value of its Place and Face value.
The whole world is running after the Place/Face value. The average, middle class, and below the poverty line can do nothing but smile broadly and offer seats and say yes, first you please! Thus, Page 3, pleased themselves by seeing many dogs wagging their tails to give respect to them. Forgetting their image and self-respect and after all their efforts of buttering Page 3, get nothing except humiliation of self-respect. They come back home and sit in a dark room to cover the humiliation of what they achieved in the Page 3 party.
