Eyes And Love

The beginning of every exquisite love story gets started by looking into each other's eyes,

And in the end, it's the eyes that pay the hefty price.

When everyone asked me what happened,

it was my eyes that confessed the truth and were pale,

If you had asked my words, they would have told a different tale.

The eyes that once shone bright with love's fire,

Paid the price with a heart that's lost in desire.

It was enough to make me come back to her door,

But not enough to make her love me more.

The words we speak may hide the emotions what's inside we bear,

But the eyes reveal the love that's no longer there.
