EYELID

The tip of eyelid

hesitates to let go of the tear of pain

down the trickle of truth

that love wouldn't happen again.

The eye lid wouldn’t let

the eye witness the vast

that is the earth and its beauty

for you weren’t present in it.

Even the face of you shatters

in the quietness of my dreams

a stab of a pixel a day. Not even

the remnants as a remembrance remain.

‘Enough. I wouldn’t let you

out of my barricades in to the world.

Stay here. Peaceful, silent and dead.

It is far better than where she is not’, says the eyelid.
