Examination Stress

Stress has become a part of our life. There is hardly anyone who is stress free. Stress could be
in the form of earning more money, making both ends meet, losing weight or any other form.
You name it and somebody or the other is stressed about it.
Examination stress and how to deal with it should be given priority by all the teachers and
parents. What is it should be explained to the students individually and collectively.
This stress can be considerably reduced if the students can remove their anxiety about exams
and the failure associated with it.
Stress comes from not being ready for failure and fearing it.
Let me explain with an example. If one is to take an injection then the anxiety that builds up
till we finally get the jab is more stressful than the jab itself.
So we need to reduce this anxiety which leads to stress.
Success or failure are the two sides of the same coin. It is not said without reason that failure
is the stepping stone to success. Edison would not have been able to make the bulb if he had
given up after the first failure.
Failure needs to be redefined. Even failure should be celebrated if we learn something from
it.
A stone thrown high in air will ultimately fall to the ground, so aim high but don't be afraid of
hitting low because then you can't go any lower. you will only rise.
I want to ask the parents a question. Are all successful people university toppers? Why does
Elon Musk, the richest man on earth, not see the campus degree before recruiting personnel.
Examination stress is man made and man only can overcome it. So don't fear fear rather
overcome it.
