Ever again

That shit’s out the door.

But I wouldn’t call it that.

But I couldn’t call it that.

It was so much more and I needed it and I craved it every time.

And I had it.

And I loved it.

And let’s be honest,

this is likely not the last time we have a conversation with one another again.

But if it matters,

I’m willing to make a change to see what lies beyond the two of us,

especially with things in surrounding;

and I hope it’s not just something to say.

Because I’ve never been one for the sake of it. But also, yeah.

The conflict’s inside.

Tonight,

I talked to the same man I’ve had a million conversations with.

And at the same time this was our first and very last.

I’m thankful for what you’ve given me in this lifetime.

I will still think of you.

I will still cherish memories I’ve made with you.

And for the next couple months,

I’m gonna be doing a lot of reading.

One side it’s gonna be going back,

the other it’s me going forward.

Either way,

it’s never gonna be like this ever again.
