Relaxing in Their lavish, heavenly abodes,
The Gods felt complacent, of Their intelligence, Divinely bestowed.
But a telepathy gave a jolt to Appollo,
He found the news impossible to swallow.
All, at once, The Gods ran to the Parthenon,
To experience a horrifying and disgusting phenomenon.
Eve hadn't eaten Apple, the fruit forbidden,
She had eaten Blackberry instead, the fruit of enlightenment.
The Gods almost uttered, Oh my god,
But Athena corrected, Gods do not swear on Gods.
Sitting on the tenterhooks, each God was hyper,
Losing sense and temper, each one raised a finger.
Athena, Jove, Cupid were particularly accused,
Appollo eyed Athena, You must have been Eve's brain behind,
Jove, Cupid, you too have performed very poorly,
Eve is devoid of romanticism, she ignores Adam totally.
Juno, with her charm and poise tried to bring calm,
Apollo thundered, I can't be quietened on any term.
The jittery Gods were out of Their wits,
This was unfortunate, the most unsolicited twist.
Standing close to the blueberry shrub, Eve was amazed,
She felt an upsurge of confidence newly gained.
Feeling utterly bold and full of energy,
A whole new Eve emerged, with fortified synergy.
She approached the Gods with spirit undaunted,
And pronounced her judgment with
confidence unprecedented.
You have exposed your disdain for women,
Now, bear the outcome, you are no longer men.
With corporal strength, I dictate you to suffer,
You will bleed each month, with cramps bitter,
Homemaking and rearing babies, will be your responsibility,
The uphill tasks of motherhood also will be your duty.
And know that, your commitment, loyalty and cooperation,
Are of no value, you will be subjected to repeated tribulations.
Thus you treated women, thus you will be treated hence,
You can't say a word for justification or selfdefense.
Whether the cunning Gods obliged or escaped is not guessable,
But Eve's rebellion relocated women as worthy and honourable.
Since then women have broken their own records of credibility,
The patriarchs are for namesake, they give in too easily to feminity.
