I remember clearly 

Your splendid, beaming grins

Had I possessed insight then 

Of the miles you'd traverse, where life begins.

Kindest of hearts, that much I intuited 

A deep within, a gentle grace 

So much of you remained unknown

Yet a familiar connection, I embrace.

Your mien emanates a luminous joy 

Unfazed by the passage of time's relentless stride 

Though moments fleet, memories persist

In the tapestry of our shared moments, they bide.
