Ephemeral gadzooks
By Nirsha Saravanan
Crying in the shade with the sun in the eye.
Magnificent mane of the golden white wing;
Like a dream I saw the lion, the pulchritudinous butterfly lion.
The doughty cub besottedly walked on the lines as I try;
I stare and glare at the wonderful bling.
Crying in the shade with the sun in the eye.
I woke up by the mighty roar, by the wonderful lion hereby;
The gelatinous beat of the birds began, as the strapping lion started to sing.
Like a dream I saw the lion, the pulchritudinous butterfly lion.
Covered in mud, he took a bud, when I saw the sky.
Thanks to me, he is flawless as heaven, on a sunny hot spring.
Crying in the shade with the sun in the eye.
Fluffy as cotton, I couldn’t resist so I had to lie;
I've seen lots of animals but never the king;
Like a dream I saw the lion, the pulchritudinous butterfly lion.
Darkness awoke, everything became a dream and now I have to say good bye;
I saw him lonely, all sad and frightened, he was such a bling,
Crying in the shade with the sun in the eye;
Like a dream I saw the lion, the pulchritudinous butterfly lion.
