Enigma

Why is it when you smile, I feel my heart accelerating?

Why is it when you laugh, I find myself unable to look away?

Why do your eyes entrance me, when they crinkle at the corners?

When you smile, your little dimple on your chin, and your two front teeth,

The crinkle in your eyes, and the lines on your forehead.

All of this when you smile, why does it make me want to embrace you, to admire you, to worship every inch of you?

The fire in your soul, the grief in your eyes.

The ecstasy in your actions and the breath in your voice,

I can feel it all.

You are an enigma, a beauty to behold.

You are enthusiastic, your actions are bold,

You are determined and never hold back.

To achieve your goals you never slack.

You may defend, you may rage,

And yet your heart like a blooming lotus,

Is free of marks and grudges and pains.

And what makes you the most beautiful person,

Is that you are unapologetically and unashamedly you.
