“ I tell you now, I say to you, oh sinners on this here mud of God’s green cage, I ask you now, I plead to you now from this here Satan’s pulpit, oh sinners, flee not, do not flee, flee not because the hordes wander to our gates, flee not to soil not our own, for then when this god-forsaken land- yes, I say, it is god-forsaken, for God fell not in the sweat of battle, in the steam and the dirt and the trench, not the Lord but Man- when this land forsaken by Him shall drown unto the foundering seas, gaze on shall you from your sanctuaries, despair shall ye who leave here, I tell you now, oh fight, oh fight, for there is nothing left else, there is nought but the ever-lit, star-lit darkness of the midnight battle, rush ye on unto darkness, rush ye on! And stab, and be stabbed, and falls your head on the soil of this dear land, and the Spirit shall fail thee, but be not afraid, I tell you now, be not afraid, for the spirit of sacrifice outnumbers the lost wraiths of the soul of life, thence, I say, be not afraid, and fall, fall, fall so that your many-numbered corpses make a corpulent wall unrivalled, so that the enemy may not penetrate it! And then, when, and I say this now to you all, all you sinners, I say you now, when thou hast spurned the terrestrial spheres, and those of the celestial, and those of the divine, I promise you now, out of the shattered glass, over the frenzied firmament, there waits not a paradise of old, nor a hell, nor oblivion eternal, but love, oh sinners! For all this mad fool preaching to the reams of those that are soon to be gone, all he can promise you, is the Last Love. I give you not war, nor peace, I deliver you unto the death of the false, and unto the worship of the truth, that is love! Fight then, for it is for love, and because there remains nought but to fight, and to fall, and to live. Oh sinners, fight, and fall and live! Live!”
