It’s crazy how every time there’s a buzz,I rush to my phone hoping it’s you,

and in seconds, the bubble bursts,

the smile drops as I pick up the phone,

all I see are some fuzzy texts,

random strangers unaware to my eyes,

the travel, that was meant to detach from the world,

just makes me long for the day I’m closer to you,

the snowy mountains tearing the skies,

the flowing rivers dancing over the rocks,

the dark valleys hiding from the sun’s embrace,

the glimmering peaks chasing the sun’s fleeting touch,

the silent forests whispering tales to the starry sky,

the chirping birds singing melodies to the tall trees,

mesmerising me with each and every bit,

reminding me of the calm,

that I felt with you, when my soul just listened to you,

while the stories of your day unfolded,

your zeal, your rage and your silence,

spoke loudly to my enchanted soul,

blindly pulling me into your world,

and as our chaotic worlds collided,

we found the peace we both longed for,

yet, we chose to bury it into a silent coffin,

buried so deep into our hearts, never to be spoken again.

And yet here I am, reminiscing those last six months,

from noticing you the first time you walked into my life,

lost in the moment, my eyes had found you,

long before my heart knew,

draped in red and black,

you moved like a whispered secret,

as you walked right towards me,

A corner seat, in a crowd, I oversee

a quiet storm, pulling me in effortlessly,

and in that fleeting second, time fell away,

though I had no words to say.
