Empathy

By Kasheeka Gupta

Towards other beings

Show some compassion, sagacity and empathy.

There are children on streets

Without food, clothing and shelter.

Just one act of kindness you do

And they will cherish forever.

Towards other beings

Show some sensitivity, benevolence and sympathy.

There are animals lying on the streets

Hurt and hungry, waiting for their end and fate

Just one act of kindness you do

And they will remember you for your tender and trait.

Take out the anger, cruelty and hatred

From your heart

And show some humanity

For the others who are in need

Of your compassion and empathy.

If you do care for others,

You do show them a way.

You become sunlight for some,

And for some a ray

With altruism which you lay.
