Emotional Maturity: Here are the Signs of a Person High on EQ

Maturity comes with age- a concept that many people believe in, but does it come with age? Many choose to disagree and believe that age is not a guarantee of maturity. It's also believed that mental health is synonymous with maturity. Maturity comes with responsibility, and you cannot be mentally or emotionally healthy if you are irresponsible. Emotional maturity is the ability to understand and deal with emotions of self as well as others.

It is the ability to not judge a person by actions, but by the intention. Understanding where a person is coming from, what is making him behave the way he does, understanding the intentions behind his reactions, etc. all are a part of emotional maturity.

They know that their life is shaped based on the decisions and choices they made. Which gives them the power to change it whenever they want. They know that their life is their responsibility, which includes success as well as the losses. The matured person understands that their setbacks or failures are learning experiences, and owning those setbacks makes them humble.

Accessible

The emotionally matured being understands that the most important thing he/she could give any relationship, business, or any other person is time. They invest time accordingly and make sure to get the best out of it.

Gracious and Giving

Emotionally matured individuals understand the importance of giving. They have learned and struggled their way to success. They understand that life can become tough, and not everyone can handle it. Thus, they are always giving in nature- emotional support, materialistic help, etc. whatever it is, they believe in giving. Being emotionally mature is a way to happier living. It is a personal choice to be more responsible and valuable in your life. The more you value your life, the more you will value others. Once you realize that your life is your choice, and you are the creator of your destiny, there is no looking back.
