Embracing ME

And lately I grasped,

Nurturing own self ain’t ever crossed by mind,

Although,

Prioritizing others’ opinions ain’t ever escaped my mind.

Exactly here and nowhere else,

The real trauma embarks,

Which is self-induced from the start.

We point fingers for our heartaches,

But ain’t consider that offering them an opportunity was our mistake.

On this sphere,

Every existing soul is devastated owing others,

Why this flow of chasing approval bothers?

We disregard our higher selves and supress our inner voice,

Why seeking their validation is our onlyc choice.

Knowingly or unknowingly,

You twist yourself to fit in their molds,

 No one possesses the power of deity here,

That being the case,

Correct paths are eternally untold.

Yearning to have a good reputation in the eyes of people,

A drive within you is already lost.

Why do you live upto their expectations,

Although,

Standing tall on the pillars of their hopes comes at a high cost.

Counting on matter what they have told ,

Why do you keep your dreams on hold?

Unfortunately,

Your every move is the reflection of their judgement,

Ain’t this piss you off

Proving yourself every second spent.

Their demands are destroying your desires,

Take a moment and revise,

Are you really meant for the opinions you admire?

The fear of getting denounced is buried inside,

Don’t you wonder,

You are tracking the faulty guide?

The uniqueness within you is fading slowly,

Their criticism is misleading you completely.

How could you let someone construct you their way,

 every person holds a different version,

Let’s be ourselves and let them say.

This binding is extending day by day,

Look closely,

Keep an eye out,

Because you are losing your way.

Don’t ever let the critics hold you down,

Instead let the world of wonders surround.

Don’t ever let them host your journey,

 you are anyways incredible honey.

Conclusion: This poetry emphasizes the significance of self worth and individuality. It says that seeking constant validation from others supress our own beliefs resulting into low self-esteem and arousing self doubts.

This poem is a gentle reminder to appreciate your uniqueness.

Always seeking approval from external sources disconnects you from yourself.
