Embers Of Dust

The warmth of my soul fades into the wildest dreams,

Like an eerie whistling breeze, my complexities scare;

But to sunbathe, on the warm sand under the beams-

I can't tell, what do I and these crushing moods share.

Am I so evil to be cursed by the heavens,

That in every step of the way I badly fall?

Is it faulty to want to fly free like ravens,

Enveloping the light or the dark overall?

In awe, what 'one moment of tranquil' truly means-

I guess, when my mother bought the chips I wanted

Or when she surprised me with a pair of new jeans;

Rather she spoon-fed, when I felt weak and fainted.

Alas, there's but darkness like the blackest of nights-

The starry moonlit sky don't make one transgression;

I might have taken wrong steps- flame never ignites,

As if the spark's long gone, rowed in sparse direction.

I feel cold and blue, frozen still with no escape,

Like a bird with wings cut off, disabled for flight

Yet, I slither along rocks, to view the landscape

Hoping, I'll someday too live in extreme delight.
