Ek latt lagi thi kal,

woh latt jo,

kisi ke liye sharab, kisi ka paani,

kisi ki yaadein, toh kisi ki kaahani,

yeh ajeeb sa nasha bhi iss kadar hua tha,

ladhkhadaaya, sharmaaya, phisal gaya tha,

aur ab meri fursat ko ehsaas ki,

tumse milna bhi to kal hi hua tha.
