Na tha haath mein rupaiya

Na hi thi umeed ki kiran

Bas vidya batorne ka

sankalp kar baitha tha mann

andheri raaton mein soya nahi

tufani baarishon mein jhuka nahi

pairon mein chaale pade dhoop ke

par kadmon ko maine roka nahi

Night school mein padha

Padha mein udhaari pe

Purane akhbaar bhi maine beche

Ki mil jaye chaar aane

Dheere dheere mehnat rang layi

Padhai kari hui kaam aayi

Padhna likhna seekh liya

Apni aawaz ko kalam se naam diya

Akhbaar mein ab likhne laga

Pustake bhi aur padhne laga

Mere vichaaro ko raah mili

Phir se jee uthne ki chah khili

Aaj ek lekhak kehlata hun

Apne hastaakshar dekar aata hun

Apne junoon se aage badhna

Apne hunar ki aag ko kabhi na bhujne dena……………..
