Eclipse

Updated: Jul 14, 2025

My words could never be enough,

To make you realize how tough,

It is to distance myself, to not think of

The memories you left—so rough,

We both had our trauma, our fear, our doubt,

Buried in silence, too scared of the blackout,

Dancing, pretending to be okay throughout,

Lighting each other’s worlds, hoping life would sprout.

You were the sun that rose from the west,

Shining brightly in the way you knew best,

I, the moon, always hidden by the rest,

Gazing in the darkness with a heavy chest.

It felt like a dream, thoughts turned into scripts,

A world of adventure, where happiness drips,

But then reality hits, a heartbeat skips,

The sun and moon only meet during an eclipse.
