Echoes Of The Haunting Past

A silent night

A dark sight

I don't see anything

But the haunting echoes of my life

Endless countless infinite echoes

Of clattering and slamming

Of slaps and screams

Of yells and slices

It haunts me

It keeps me awake

It makes me think back and look back at my life

Of what did i do wrong to deserve such ?

I never asked to be born

Neither did I ask to be alive

Yet here I am

A matter of violent discussion for something that isn't in my hands

I hear those same noises

Up, down, and all about

Whilst i stay down in my bed

Shivering, cowering in fear

Questioning myself and everything I've done

It haunts me

It scares me

I hear those same screams and yells day and night

Unable to interfere

Unable to prevent

Such a fate i wouldn't wish on anyone

Yet even then I see both of them smiling

Laughing out loud

Yet know what lies beneath not do I even know

What lies they keep

What manipulation they do

What sort of influence these echoes do on me

Neither do I think they care

I continue hearing those same noises and screams

Even though silence is deafening everyone around me

Still and silent

Yet I still hear them

Continuously

And eternally
