Echoes of Solitude: A Soul's Lament

In the depths of night, each hour a cruel slayer,
Longing to vanish from this world's harsh glare,
Weary of seeking closeness, yet a lone recluse,
Yearning to retreat to an unhatched egg's refuge.
Surrounded by loved ones, still, I yearn for more,
Seeking solace and affection's tender lore.
Oh, the wretchedness that clings to me,
Who can fathom my depths, who can truly see?
These heartaches, sharper than any wound's sting,
Pieces shattered, unable to bring
Together again, the tears, a silent plea,
Bearing witness to the nightly agony.
Oh, the wretchedness that shadows my soul,
Who understands, who can make me whole?
