Echoes Of Pain

Caption Of Artwork: This artwork symbolises the pain of a wounded person. A wound that exits not on their skin but a wound that exists in their heart. A wound so deep and ironic that it cannot be seen on the outside but can always be felt on the inside.

The nerves connecting the heart on the top represent the thin threads on which our life exists. These threads consist of our family, friends, relationships, job, money, food etc and though each of them is fragile when measured singularly against the group of others, they are the ones that keeps a heart beating.

The scars on the heart are the scars from being broken emotionally and though according to science, the function of the heart is to pump blood. it is also known for pumping feelings. the blood drips down from the scars as a sign of feelings getting emptied from the chambers and the person becoming emotionless.

yet the heart is so innocent that it cannot let go of the threads that hurt it.
