Echoes of My Heart

In the dark of the night, I hear your name

You’re a distant like a star, I can’t even aim

Every minute feels like an hour and every hour like a day

Pacing restlessly and time slips away

This distance weighs upon our hearts, a heavy toll

Are you afraid to bridge the gap, or is it just my soul?

Lost in the shadows of my thoughts and my heart takes a flight

Unsure of the pace, yet it feels so right

I’ve nurtured hope like a flickering flame

Yearning to see you, with no one to blame

I’ll choose you, no matter how far or how near

Even if the world crumbles today, my love remains clear
